The NFL announced Thursday that the Houston Texans are taking on the name “Texans.”
This is the second NFL team to take the Texans’ name in 2017, after the Chicago Bears.
The name was first used by the Houston Oilers, who were the Houston Totes in 1996 and 1999 before moving to Calgary in 1999.
The Texans are the first NFL team since the Cleveland Browns to change their name.
The Browns were known as the Browns until 2006.
The team’s logo will be a gold, white and red bull.
The new logo will have three concentric circles, with the “S” of the logo in the center, and the three “S’s” on either side.
The gold color will be used to signify the team’s team colors.
The name will be changed in the middle of the next season, as the team will play in a new stadium.
The stadium’s name is to be announced in the coming weeks.
